MELROSE, The Bronx — Firefighters found a body in the rubble of a three-alarm house fire in Melrose, according to the FDNY.
A spokesperson for the department said a right-side wall collapsed in what started as a 2nd-alarm fire and was quickly upgraded to a third just after 2:30 p.m. Friday at 794 East 160th St. in Melrose.

The initial call was for a heavy fire on the second floor of the two-story private home between Trinity and Jackson Avenues. The fire extended to an adjoining building, according to officials.
