Bronx Spa Heist Crew Busted After Edgewater River Road Robbery Spree

Four New York residents are facing a raft of charges after authorities say a crew of armed robbers targeted two River Road spas in Edgewater in a quick pre-dawn spree last fall. Prosecutors identified the defendants as John E. Cesse Rosario, 24; Fraylan M. De La Rosa Perez, 26; Brayan Perez Abreu, 23; and Esther Rosado, 24. Investigators say the group moved in on patrons before sunrise, taking phones, a watch and other personal property at gunpoint.

What Prosecutors Say Happened

According to Daily Voice, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella and Edgewater Police said the first hit came around 3 a.m. on Sept. 25, 2025, when a masked gunman confronted victims and demanded an Apple iPhone and Apple Watch. Less than two weeks later, at about 2:25 a.m. on Oct. 5, 2025, detectives say a different River Road spa was robbed at gunpoint and victims again lost their cell phones and other belongings.

How Investigators Built the Case

Prosecutors say a Bergen County grand jury returned a 13-count indictment on April 7 that charges Rosario, De La Rosa Perez and Perez Abreu with first-degree armed robbery and related offenses. Rosario, De La Rosa Perez and Rosado face additional counts tied to the Oct. 5 incident, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office press materials. Investigators say a white Toyota Camry was linked to the Sept. 25 scene and a silver Volkswagen Jetta to the Oct. 5 scene, and that those vehicles helped connect the suspects to both robberies…
