Tree crashes into No. 4 train subway car in Bronx, injuring operator; portion of line suspended

A tree crashed into a No. 4 train subway car in the Bronx Saturday night, injuring the operator and suspending a portion of the line.

The northbound No. 4 train was approaching the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium station just before 8:30 p.m. when the tree came down, injuring the female train operator, according to the MTA.

The 38-year-old train operator was taken to the hospital where she is expected to recover.
