NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Clean up is underway throughout the tri-state after a day-long storm pummeled the area from morning through the night on Tuesday.
The storm that prompted multiple tornado watches and flash flood warnings throughout the day left behind dozens of downed trees and flooded roadways in New York City, Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut.

In Elmhurst, Queens, a driver caught on camera the moment a tree fell inches in front of his bumper and just behind another vehicle. At least two cars parked outside of homes were crushed under trees in the neighborhood.
“I saw the tree fall right in front of me and then I just slammed the brakes,” said the driver who caught the moment on camera.
