FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) — At least 21 people were injured, some critically, after a multi-alarm fire broke out in a home in Flushing, Queens on Saturday, the FDNY reported.
Among those injured were 17 firefighters, two EMS personnel and two civilians near College Point Boulevard and 41st Avenue just before 10 a.m., fire officials say. Five of those firefighters had moderate to serious injuries, with one in critical condition at the hospital, according to the FDNY.

Despite their injuries, officials say all members of the service were expected to survive.
