A fire tore through a home in Demarest on Tuesday afternoon, sending multiple police officers and a firefighter to the hospital, authorities said.
Police were dispatched around 4:43 p.m. to a home on Woodland Road after a resident reported seeing heavy black smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house, according to the Demarest Police Department.
