Man Wanted After Subway Rider Struck With Wooden Stick at East Tremont Avenue Station

BRONX, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that left a 30-year-old man injured inside the East Tremont Avenue subway station earlier this month.

According to the NYPD, the attack occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, on the mezzanine level of the East Tremont Avenue subway station within the confines of the 46th Precinct and Transit District 11.

Investigators said the victim was approached by an unidentified individual who displayed a wooden stick and struck him in the back of the head before fleeing the station on foot in an unknown direction…
