Heavy rain brought flooding earlier this morning in spots, but most of the rest of the day will be dry. A stray shower is expected with a few passing afternoon clouds, but the risk for thunderstorms is low this afternoon.

Despite the heavy rain this morning, most of the day is quite nice. Highs reach the low 80s under a mix of sun and clouds. It is humid with a stray shower possible through the evening. Any additional rain will be brief.

Today: Seas stay manageable with no small craft concerns, but the rip current risk is moderate, with swell pushing in from the southeast. Anyone swimming should stick to guarded beaches and watch for flags, especially with morning storms still in the mix.

Monday: Rip currents remain moderate as well, so use the same caution if you’re back at the beach tomorrow.

Looking Ahead: A Much Nicer Stretch Coming

Monday still carries a small chance of an isolated afternoon shower or storm, but otherwise turns mostly dry and sunny with highs in the upper 70s. From Monday night through midweek, drier air and high pressure settle in. Expect a stretch of sunny skies, upper 70s to low 80s, and noticeably lower humidity, so it’ll feel comfortable and pleasant compared to this weekend’s mugginess…
