Felony charges have been withdrawn against a now-former Penn State Behrend student accused of assaulting a woman on campus in April.
The ex-student, Ian Hall, 19, of the Bronx, New York, still faces two misdemeanor counts and two summary offenses, but he hopes to receive probation when he is sentenced later in Erie County Common Pleas Court, said his lawyer, Kenneth Bickel.
Bickel said he and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office negotiated the withdrawal of the charges at what had been scheduled as Hall’s preliminary hearing on Sept. 2. The hearing did not occur…
