Brooklyn man charged after 2 Palisades Park officers injured during arrest

A Brooklyn man is facing charges after police say he resisted arrest and injured two Palisades Park officers during a suspected drunken-driving stop.

Police said Patrol Detective Robert Then spotted a red Chevrolet Camaro speeding on Route 46 East near Abbott Avenue shortly before midnight Friday.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Edwin G. Sisalema-Guananga, got out of the car after Then pulled him over, according to police. Police said Sisalema-Guananga appeared intoxicated, refused officers’ commands and became aggressive toward officers…
