A motion to dismiss an assaulting a Union City police officer charge against Leonard Filipowski, better known as Leroy Truth, was expected to be ruled on today in Hudson County Superior Court but instead was pushed to a hearing in October.
At the Frank Guarini Justice Complex at 24 Central Ave. this morning, Hudson County Superior Court Judge Mitzy Galis-Menendez ordered the proceedings for next month after the case was transferred from Essex County.
After a brief off-the-record conversation, Galis-Menendez told the court that everything from the Essex County Superior Court docket would transfer to the Hudson County Superior Court docket.
