A police officer charged with lying under oath earlier this year has been terminated from his job.
Cory J. Havens, 32, of the Vauxhall section of Union, was arrested on the fourth-degree false swearing charge in February. At the time of his arrest, Havens was a sworn officer with the Palisades Park Police Department.
