A rideshare driver is accused of stabbing a passenger during a dispute over payment at a tandem lot in Rockland County before fleeing to New York City, police said.
Brooklyn resident Joel A. Guzman, 32, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 16, following the stabbing at the Suffern Tandem Lot off I-87 in Ramapo, New York State Police announced on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Troopers said they were called to the lot shortly before 7 a.m. on Wednesday for a reported stabbing. Investigators then found that Guzman had been hired to drive the victim, a 32-year-old California man, but initially took him to the Sloatsburg Service Area because of an apparent miscommunication about the destination…
