After sitting empty for nearly 30 years, the Bronx’s historic 1929 theatre is reopening with 4,000 seats and a starry night ceiling

The Bronx’s historic Loew’s Paradise Theater is officially coming back to life.

Originally opened in 1929, this beloved Grand Concourse landmark was one of New York City’s original five ‘wonder theatres.’ Now, nearly 30 years after closing its doors, it is transforming into the brand-new Paradise Performing Arts Center (PPAC).

With 4,000 seats, the revamped space will become the second-largest theater in New York City, right behind Radio City Music Hall.
