NORTH TROY— A 29-year-old Senegalese man with an outstanding warrant for attempted forcible rape in New York was arrested after illegally crossing the Canadian border near North Troy on Sept. 30, federal prosecutors said.
Khadim Ndaiye, previously of Brooklyn, N.Y., has been charged by criminal complaint with illegal entry into the United States, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont. He was scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin J. Doyle in Burlington.
According to court records, U.S. Border Patrol agents detected an unlawful crossing of the international border in the vicinity of North Troy on Sept. 30. Agents responded and observed tracks and indicators of people moving through the woods.
