A Crotona Park man has been arrested and charged with murder nearly a year after a deadly stabbing near Times Square left a 23-year-old Rhode Island man dead, police say. Alton Henry was taken into custody Monday, becoming the third person charged in the killing of Daevon Silva, who died at Bellevue Hospital after being attacked early on Nov. 24, 2025.

Bronx men Paul Ohore and Alagie Jatta were arrested in December 2025 and had already been charged with murder in connection with the case, according to amNY. Detectives took Ohore, 32, and Jatta, 29, into custody in the Bronx on Dec. 16, 2025, the outlet reported, and at that time a third attacker remained at large.
Silva, who lived in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital after the attack, where he later died, according to the New York Daily News. Accounts of his injuries differ: amNY reported that Silva was beaten and stabbed multiple times in the back and right thigh during the confrontation, while the Daily News reported he was stabbed once in the back and once in the right thigh. The exact number of wounds has not been independently resolved.
