NYC Sues Bus Companies for $708M Over Immigrant Transport

New York City has recently sued 17 bus and transportation companies that were on contract with Texas to take thousands of Migrants to the City as a part of Governor Greg Abbott’s new anti-immigrant policies in the New York City State Supreme Court.

The City is asking for $708 million in damages from all 17 companies combined, which is the amount the City has spent to provide shelter for the immigrants.

According to Mayor Eric, New York City is doing its best to deal with this crisis, but the city cannot handle everything alone due to the reckless policies made in the state of Texas.

According to him, Governor Abbott’s policies are inhumane, and they put politics above people or humans.

The city-states argue that the bus companies are violating state laws with the evil intentions of burdening New York City with the costs of protection to the migrants.

The City also charges the bus companies for charging or receiving more for their services than it would cost to buy a one-way ticket to New York from Texas on a regular scheduled bus.
