Kids robbed in violent Bronx spree, suspects sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Thursday released a photo of a trio of suspects that they are looking to identify in a violent robbery last month in the Bronx.

The first incident happened at approximately 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 23, when a 14-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of Lafayette Avenue and Beach Avenue where he was approached by four men who demanded his property.

One of the suspects displayed a knife and the victim surrendered his cell phone and wallet containing approximately $40. The suspects then fled on foot to parts unknown.

There were no injuries reported.­­

The second incident happened at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26, a 12-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of Underhill Avenue and Story Avenue in Soundview where he was approached by two suspects who demanded his property.

When the victim refused, both suspects punched the victim several times and removed his coat and cell phone. The suspects fled to parts unknown.

The victim sustained minor injuries and refused further treatment.
