Launched in June 2021, the program provides no-strings-attached cash on a biweekly basis.

The program temporarily gave 100 participants $500 debit cards to pregnant people every two weeks for three years.

Since its inception, The Bridge Project has become a permanent lifeline for expecting mothers.

The initiative also offers support, like connecting them with doulas, as well as mental health and benefits counseling.

New Yorkers may apply for payments in one of three places: New York City, Rochester, or Buffalo.

Just note that each city may have differing payment amounts.

For example, the mothers who qualify for the Buffalo program will receive a one-time prenatal stipend of $1,125.

Each recipient will get $750 a month for the first 15 months, and $375 a month for the final 21 months of the program.
