Duo robs 75-year-old man in Bronx subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Two suspects robbed a 75-year-old man who was trying to leave a Bronx subway station on Wednesday, and police released photos of the duo to help in their investigation.

At about 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, the victim was attempting to buy a MetroCard in the Prospect Avenue subway station when he was approached by the robbery team.

Police said that one of the suspects blocked the exit as the man attempted to leave the station, while the other restrained the victim. The suspects then snatched the man’s wallet before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

The 75-year-old refused medical service at the scene, cops said.

The first suspect is described as a 40-year-old male last seen in a green face mask, multi-colored sneakers and black garb.

The second suspect is described as a woman last seen wearing dark clothing and gray sneakers.
