Video of Police Arresting a Migrant Who Appears To Have Connections In Recent Police Attack

A migrant was seen on camera being taken into custody by New York City police on Thursday night in Manhattan after he engaged in conversation with passing cops and seemed to be playing a recent attack on two police officers on his phone for other guys.

After showing the clip, the man—dressed in an orange puffer jacket and saggy pants—was seen stamping on the sidewalk outside the Roosevelt Hotel after taking a hit from a pipe. After a last pat down, he was handcuffed and brought away.

Yoiber Martinez, 19, was taken into custody by NYPD officers, according to a spokesman, on suspicion of disorderly conduct, obstructing traffic, and possessing a prohibited narcotic.

One of The Defendants In The Police Attack

The same man who was detained on Thursday was seen earlier in the day leaving a Manhattan courtroom with Jhoan Boada, 22, one of the defendants in the police attack. After being freed from custody, Boada gave news cameras the finger.

When journalists questioned both of the men, “Is that how you respect this country?” the two laughed.
