Man, 91, seriously injured after robber beats him on UES street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 91-year-old man suffered serious injuries when a robber beat him on an Upper East Side street, police said Wednesday as they released images of a suspect in the broad-daylight attack.

The victim was walking on East 86th Street, just west of First Avenue, around 10:30 a.m. last Thursday when a man pushed him to the ground.

The attacker then pummeled the victim on the ground and tried to steal his wallet, police said.

The suspect fled empty-handed on East 86th Street towards Second Avenue, according to cops.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside.
