At around 3 pm on February 4, a 24-year-old female was walking on the Upper East Side in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and East 75th Street across the street from the Frick Madison exhibit.
Cops said a woman with pink hair and a man ran up to the victim – the man placed the victim in a headlock and the woman pulled the victim’s hair dragging her to the ground.
The attackers forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and tried to remove other property. However, the victim broke free and ran to a nearby building. When the muggers followed, the building’s doorman forced the attackers back and they fled, cops said.
The NYPD released surveillance video which shows the suspects fleeing from the scene. The first suspect is a female with a dark complexion and pink hair. She was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket and a gray jogging suit with white sneakers. She appears to have also been wearing a fanny pack or a purse around her waist.
