Woman placed in headlock, pulled by hair in midday UES robbery

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is looking to identify a pair of suspects accused of placing a woman in headlock during a midday robbery on the Upper East Side.

At approximately 3 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 4, a 24-year-old woman was in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and East 75th Street when she was approached by the suspects, officials said.

According to police, the suspects placed the victim into a headlock and pulled her hair forcing her to the ground before stealing her cellphone.

The suspects then attempted to take more property from the victim, who fled into a nearby building where a doorman forced the suspects to flee on foot to parts unknown.

The victim refused medical attention.
