Woman beaten on Bronx subway platform, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Monday released surveillance footage of a man accused of beating a woman on a Bronx subway platform earlier this month.

It happened just before 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, inside of the 219th Street Subway station in Olinville.

According to officials, a 29-year-old woman was on the southbound platform and became engaged in a physical altercation with the suspect who began to strike her multiple times in the face.

The suspect fled the location on foot to parts unknown.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi for minor injuries.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark colored pants, and white sneakers.
