MANHATTAN – A man was stabbed when he tried to stop a person from peeing on his building in Greenwich Village, the NYPD said.

At around 4 pm on February 14, a 27-year-old man was standing in front of his building at 63 Downing Street in Greenwich Village. The tenant saw a man urinating in front of the building and confronted him, cops said.

The two men argued and the urinator pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the tenant in the right side of his stomach, cops said.

The attacker fled on foot on Varrick Street.

The victim was rushed by EMS to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. He is described as a male with a medium complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue vest and black hooded sweatshirt underneath, grey pants, and brown boots.

All calls are strictly confidential.
