Police seek woman who stabbed victim during fight in Bronx residential building

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released a photo on Thursday of a suspect wanted for allegedly stabbing a woman in a Bronx residential building earlier this week.

At about 12:25 a.m. on Monday, a 29-year-old woman engaged in a dispute with a stranger inside 384 East 194th St. in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx.

The suspect, described by police as a woman with long hair and a slim build, then pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim in the torso, police said.

The 29-year-old was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

The suspect fled on East 194th Street in an unknown direction and was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a black sweatshirt and multi-colored sneakers, officials said.
