“It’s scary to ride the train these days. It’s really scary,” said commuter Crystal Greene.
A man believed to be in his 50s hit a 31-year-old victim in the back of the head with a pipe, police said. The man fled the scene, according to police.
The city has seen several violent incidents on the subway this week. Less than a mile away at the Queens Plaza Station, a man slashed a 29-year-old tourist in the left side of his neck while on the mezzanine level of the E, M, R train lines Thursday morning. The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
