NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A human leg was discovered on 4 line tracks between two subway stations in the Bronx on Saturday afternoon, the NYPD said.
At around 1 p.m. on Saturday, an MTA worker spotted the leg on the roadbed between the 167th Street and 170th Street stations on the northbound 4 line, officials said.
Authorities could not confirm if the leg belonged to a man or woman, or how much of it was found.
Police said that the medical examiner has to provide more information about the leg and its owner.
The incident caused some service disruptions, which have since been resolved.
The MTA referred 1010 WINS/WCBS 880’s request for comment to the NYPD.
The investigation is ongoing.
