NYPD: 4 suspects wanted for violent robbery at Golden Krust

Police are searching for a group of four men they say are behind a violent attack that took place at a Golden Krust restaurant in Allerton.

The incident took place on Valentine’s Day at around 5 p.m. Law enforcement officials say that two men got into an argument inside, which escalated into a four-on-one beatdown.

Witnesses say that the 28-year-old victim appeared to be an Amazon delivery driver. Police have a photograph of who they think is the ringleader of the group they are looking for.

The NYPD says the four suspects got away with the victim’s backpack and were last seen splitting up into two cars, a grey sedan and a black SUV. They say the backpack that was taken contained the victim’s electronics and clothing.

The 28-year-old victim suffered minor injuries and is expected to be OK – but the community is on edge.

“For this to happen here, it’s not right, for the customers, for the people who own this place. Not over food. It’s uncalled for, it’s unnecessary. And it shouldn’t happen nowhere. We should all just get along,” said customer Allan Ricketts.
