STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- Two correction officers on Rikers Island were left bloodied Sunday in separate incidents, the New York Post reported. At about 1 p.m., an officer attempted to break up an apparent gang fight between about 10 inmates in the George R. Vierno Center, which spilled out of a cell and onto the tier, law enforcement sources told the outlet.
