Night burglar who broke into L.I. houses arrested: Nassau County Police

Two men sneaking around outside houses in North New Hyde Park and East Rockaway broke into 3 houses last week while the people who lived there were sleeping.

Police say the men stole cellphones. Computers. Money and credit cards in wallets and handbags. Guitars. A 40-inch Roku TV. A 2019 Infiniti.

Now, one suspect is in custody.

Jordan Jackson, 27, was arraigned Thursday on Burglary, Grand Larceny and Petit Larceny charges in connection with three burglaries on Kings Lane in North New Hyde Park and on Mildred Place and Waverly Avenue in East Rockaway.

Police say Jackson and an “unidentified accomplice” were caught on camera at the crime scenes. Security recordings show the two men as they crept quietly through the houses, stealing possessions as occupants slept in their bedrooms.

But one man heard them.
