The legendary Actor, Producer & Philanthropist Michael Douglas will be presented with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ award on Tuesday, October, 22, 2024 from The Avon Theatre Film Center! Michael Douglas, who spent many years living in Westport, Connecticut as a boy, will be celebrated for his almost 60 years of work in the Hollywood film industry. The Avon Theatre is located at 272 Bedford Street in Stamford, Connecticut. Tickets for this special event are still available, but limited.
The 2x Academy Award-winning actor is known for many amazing performances in his long luminous career. These films include; “Wall Street,” ”Romancing The Stone”, “Fatal Attraction,” Traffic,” “Behind The Candelabra,” “Basic Instinct,” and ”The War of The Roses,” “The China Syndrome,” just to name a few from the long list of cinema he has created. The 79-year-old actor has received many other awards in his 58 year career including FIVE Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. He has also been awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award and the AFI Life Achievement Award.
