SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting drivers of lane closures starting Monday, September 16.
The NYSDOT said I-81 North will be closed to only one lane between Exit 16 and Exit 16A (I-481 North).
The lane closure will be happening at the following times:
- From 9 a.m. Monday, September 16, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 17
- From 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 18
The NYSDOT said the lane reductions are to facilitate the reconstruction and paving of the right lane.
The DOT also wants to remind drivers to slow down when driving through work zones and to always pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Construction activities may change based on weather conditions.
