Man, 19, arrested after 6 people slashed in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 19-year-old man was arrested for allegedly slashing six people in Brooklyn over the weekend, authorities said.

Erick Caiza Iza was charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

It happened at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, in front of 45 Fane Court in Gerritsen Beach.

According to officials, a 30-year-old woman was slashed in the face, a 29-year-old woman was slashed in the face and arm, a 27-year-old man was slashed in the face, an 18-year-old was slashed in the hand, a 16-year-old girl was slashed in the arm and a man in his 30s was slashed in the neck and wrist.

The victims were taken to an area hospital where they are all listed in stable condition.

It is unknown what led up to the attacks and an investigation remains ongoing.
