Man walking on Bronx street is randomly stabbed in back, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released photos Monday of a suspect wanted for randomly stabbing a man in the back in the Bronx.

The attack happened Sunday at about 1 p.m. when a 49-year-old man was walking near University Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road in Kingsbridge Heights. The suspect approached him and stabbed him in the back and foot with a metal object, police said.

The suspect then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition.
