NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Between Saturday night and early Sunday morning two separate, fatal accidents in Manhattan and the Bronx killed four people, according to the NYPD.

The more recent crash happened just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning at East 106th Street and Third Avenue when an SUV struck a scooter, killing a 35-year-old woman.

Police said that a man, whose age is unknown, was also killed in the East Harlem crash.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.

Visible behind a taped off police scene later Sunday morning was a black Toyota RAV4 and a black scooter, both totaled, with oil leaking from the undercarriage and glass on the pavement.

Seven hours before the accident in Manhattan was another crash in the Claremont section of the Bronx that killed two men and injured two others.

A Honda Accord was traveling north on Park Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night when it collided with a Toyota Highlander moving east on Claremont Parkway, police said.
