Queens fruit vendor repeatedly stabbed after argument: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A fruit vendor was stabbed multiple times in Queens on Sunday, according to the NYPD.

The attack occurred around 5:45 p.m. after a 47-year-old man got into an argument with the 35-year-old vendor near his stand on Roosevelt Avenue in Woodside, police said.

The suspect then allegedly stabbed the vendor multiple times. Police have not released the victim’s name. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody, though charges have not yet been filed.

An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
