Sean “Diddy” Combs has proposed a $50 million bail package in hopes of securing his release from a Brooklyn jail, where he has been detained for eight weeks on charges of criminal se$ trafficking. His defense team, led by attorney Alexandra Shapiro, has offered his $48 million Miami mansion as collateral, alongside commitments from family members to co-sign the bond.
Since his arrest, Combs has been denied bail three times, with judges expressing concerns about possible witness tampering. Combs, who pleaded not guilty, is accused of using his entertainment business to transport individuals for recorded se$ual performances. Despite this, he maintains that all activities were consensual.
Recently, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian denied Combs’ request to restrict his accusers from discussing the case publicly. Shapiro argued that Combs needs better access to trial preparation materials, especially given difficult jail conditions, including lockdowns and limited access to a laptop. His defense claims new evidence weakens the prosecution’s case and that detention is obstructing his right to a fair trial. The trial is set for May 5.
