Brooklyn’s streets became the backdrop for a disturbing incident last month as a man and woman were targeted in what the NYPD is investigating as an anti-Asian hate crime. According to PIX11, this unprovoked attack occurred on October 19 around 10 p.m. near Albee Square. The Police Department has reported that the victims were walking when four individuals approached them, proceeded to throw whipped cream at them, and also made anti-Asian remarks.
