Two individuals are in custody suspected of two violent attacks in recent weeks on W44th Street, according to the NYPD.
Police have arrested an individual charged with a sexually motivated robbery over the weekend, NYPD sources confirmed to W42ST.
On Tuesday at approximately 6:30pm police arrested Brandon Simosa, 25, outside of The Row Hotel. He had a crack pipe on his person, police said and AMNY reported .
Cops from the Midtown South Precinct arrested Simosa yesterday and transferred him to Manhattan Criminal Court at 100 Centre Street this morning.
Early on Sunday morning, it is alleged Simosa accosted a 38-year-old woman after following her into the hallway of her apartment building on W44th Street between 9/10th Avenues.
After demanding cash, the suspect stole the woman’s purse, phone and bank cards. He then performed a “lewd act” before fleeing the scene, according to police. The victim was not physically injured.
