NEW YORK (PIX11) — Sunday will bring frigid feels-like temperatures in the 20s with a mix of sun and clouds.
With the temperatures low, flurries are possible in the north and west due to the lake effect.
NYC forecast and PIX11’s Weather Center
Monday and Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 30s and lows in the 20s. Morning wind chills will continue to be well below freezing as the jet stream dips as far south as Florida.
By Wednesday a low-pressure system will move in, potentially bringing in flurries by the evening hours and into Thursday morning. Thursday will be slightly warmer with highs possibly above 40, as a warm front will have slid to the north of our region.
Freezing temperatures return on Friday and through next weekend with highs only expected to be in the upper 20s to low 30s.
