Newborn girl found inside abandoned tote bag outside NYC building: cops

Cops found a newborn girl stuffed in an abandoned tote bag outside a Bronx apartment building in the cold Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a 911 call about a crying baby about 6 a.m. outside 1102 Reverend James Polite Ave., police and law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Cops spoke to the caller and then found the infant wrapped in a blanket in the dumped bag, sources said.

EMS workers brought the tiny girl to NYC Health and Hospital/Jacobi in stable condition, police said.

Police are searching for whoever might have abandoned her, sources said.
