Showers continue as NJ, NY as temperatures reach 60 degrees

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Showers remain on and off on Sunday with highs possibly reaching above 60 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the upper-50s to low-60s into Monday with moderate rain expected in the morning. Tuesday will be cooler with highs in the low 50s. It will also be drier with some sunshine.

By the Ball Drop on New Year’s Eve, there will be mild temperatures around 50. This could potentially enter the record books as a top five warmest New Year’s Eve in New York City.

Some showers are expected during New Year’s Eve and the first half of New Year’s Day before temperatures drop to the mid-30s. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will all be dry with highs in the mid-30s. Saturday the icy wind chills will return around 15 degrees.
