CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The 87-year-old woman with dementia who police said was spirited away from her Chesterfield home on Sunday was located in New York City, authorities said Saturday afternoon.

Elvin Moreno, the relative who is accused of taking Ursala David from her home in the 6700 block of Gills Gate Drive early Sunday morning, was in police custody in New York City pending extradition back to the Commonwealth, Lt. James Lamb with Chesterfield Police said.

“David has been located in New York City and is receiving medical treatment prior to being reunited with family,” Lamb said.
