More NYPD brass booted over weekend

CIVIC CENTER – MORE TOP COPS were removed from high-ranking roles within the NYPD over the weekend, as new commissioner Jessica Tisch – the fourth person to hold the position under the Adams administration – continued to shake up the embattled department following a series of public firings and resignations, reports the New York Post. More than a dozen members of the Internal Affairs Bureau, which investigates other officers, were reassigned to borough precincts, while six members of the office of former Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey were also removed and reassigned. Maddrey stepped down earlier this month after being accused of misconduct in an overtime hours-for-sex scandal, while former Internal Affairs head Miguel Iglesias was relieved of his command.
