Robbery crew targets kids as young as 13 in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Monday released surveillance footage of a crew wanted in a string of robberies that targeted kids as young as 13 in the Bronx.

The first incident happened at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, in the vicinity of the Cross Bronx Expressway and Virginia Avenue in Parkchester where a 23-year-old man was approached by the group who stole his jacket then fled the location on foot, officials said.

The victim was treated by EMS on scene, but was not hospitalized.

At about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, a 17-year-old girl was in front of 1592 Westchester Ave. in Soundview when she was approached by the crew who snatched her necklace before fleeing on foot. The victim was not injured.

The crew then targeted a 13-year-old boy at about 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, in the vicinity of Bronx River Avenue and East 174th Street in Soundview and stole his iPhone and iPad before fleeing the location on foot.

The boy was not injured as a result of this incident.
