N.Y. weather: NYC could see ‘several’ inches of snow

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Thanks to a disruption in the polar vortex, New York City will see its first real chance at accumulating snow in the first week of January. Arctic air will dive into the U.S. over the course of the first two weeks of January, allowing for below-average temperatures to take hold in various parts of the country, including New York City.
