Williamsport, Pa. — Local detectives are looking for a man who allegedly lied about living in South Williamsport on a voter’s application.
Bryan Franklin Browne, 49, from Bronx, NY claimed he lived in South Williamsport when filling out an application to vote in Lycoming County in July of this year, according to a complaint.
Lycoming County Detectives attempted to speak with Browne twice about the issue with his application. He hung up on them in both instances, Detective Arnold Duck said.
Director of Elections and Registration Forrest Lehman contacted the Lycoming District Attorney’s Office in September to report “suspicious” activity on a voter’s registration application, according to Duck. Lehman claimed the application was submitted in June and returned in July marked “no such number-unable to forward” after being delivered.
Voter Services contacted Browne, who allegedly responded “it was complicated” when asked about his address. Browne ended the call by telling them to cancel him. He then hung up.
