Fugitive wanted in Brooklyn homicide caught in Albany

A suspect wanted in connection with a Brooklyn homicide was captured in Albany on Thursday morning.

U.S. Marshals arrested Dean Boland at a home. Boland and his brother, Rasheed Boland are believed to be responsible for shooting and killing Dustin Hackley on Ocen Avenue in East Flatbush on July 11, 2017, investigators said.

Dean Boland is accused of fleeing New York City and hiding in the Capital Region. Members of the New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force conducted surveillance operations at this residence to confirm that Boland lived there.
